Laura

Chen

Secretary

Biography

At age 2, Laura Chen was quickly dubbed "The Child Genius". As an intellectual and prodigy, Laura proceeded to plow through the competition in all her piano festivals, violin competitions, swim meets, math olympiads, science olympiads, history olympiads, english olympiads (do those even exist?), spelling bees, as well as the 100 meter sprint, 400 meter sprint, and 1200 meter sprint in the 2012 Olympic Games. To every other Asian child, she quickly became known as "the kid next door": The kid who was always better than them somehow, and who was always being used as an example of "who you should be like" when they were lectured by their parents.

She attended college at the ripe age of 10, but quickly became bored with the "mundane", "vapid", and "moronic" college curriculum (as she put it). Instead, young little Laura Chen decided that it was time for her to find a job. Perhaps that would give her the challenge she needed. But alas, it did not. She jumped from tech company to company, including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Tesla, and Facebook, but once again got too bored with the "easy" stuff.

Since there was nothing left for her to do in life, she was ready to take a break from the world. At 12 years old, Laura shut herself into her room, and prepared to start hibernating (like a bear), when suddenly, she realized that she hadn't accomplished everything just yet. No, there was one last thing to do: Save the world from climate change. That's right, little Laura Chen was planning to save the world. The first place to start? At none other but Neolectra. She had heard about the start-up recently from her parents. Doing a quick Google search (which she helped build by the way), she discovered exactly where Sammy Urtzal lived, and barged in, demanding to be let into the group. Urtzal agreed, and assigned her the task of being Secretary.

Today, Laura is still having fun and isn't getting bored yet. And she's absolutely amazing at her job.

I've succeeded so many times in life that sometimes...sometimes, I wish I would just FAIL so I could understand how it feels to be normal, to be a loser.
